It seems that, the developments going on in the Middle East, the ethnic polarization and systematic killings, especially in the Arab spring countries, have made the world to change its view point about the Arab revolutions, the appearance of militias, extremists and killers who displace the people and kill them have caused the western media which wrote more about the Arab spring to retreat and deviate from the precise analysis of the developments. It has become necessary on US and on the countries in Europe which supported the Arab spring and ignited its fire, to support the stability in the region.

The German Radio, Duetsche Welle, told that, the terrorism practiced by the ISIL asserts clearly that, the new Middle East can’t be achieved without the initiatives deriving from the region, it has only passed some time after the developments that changed the Arab world, which was welcomed by the world as the movement to liberate the oppressed people and were depicted with words, Jasmine revolution, Arab Spring and Face book revolution by the western newspapers that expressed its desire to emerge a new more democratic and pluralistic Middle East and the pictures of the civilised Arab youths were spread throughout the world, who used internet and social channels like face book and twitter as their sole weapons.

We can’t forget the famous picture of the Muslim demonstrators in the freedom square in Cairo, who performed prayer under the protection of their Coptic brothers; it can understand the feeling of the analysers in Europe who mentioned emergence of a new Middle East, even though they were unable to define the essence of this new Middle East. But the sudden fall of the oppressive regimes one by one, in Tunisia, Egypt and Yemen were a shock that indicated to a decisive era in the region.

The report asked that, what the Middle East obtained from this new face?. There are only dark horizons which have begun to form oppressive and it is increasing its oppressive face every day. The armed clashes in Syria, which were ended after the NATO military intervention, the revolution in Syria has been turned to the bloody civil war, that killed and still killing people, while it can be seen a dubious future for the Arab world. Those peaceful demonstrators who launched the Arab Spring have been marginalized, and are being tortured in the jails. The civil wars, ethnic cleansing and destruction have become the prevailing characteristic; it can be seen in many courtiers of the region armed militias keeping barbaric desires in their minds to kill the people. In Syria, and Iraq, the so-called fighters of the ISIL have succeeded in taking over the territories that exceed the areas of countries such as Jordan and Lebanon, and they commit terrorism against those who oppose to yield to the Islamic state established by them which is only a cover for the order of terrorism and fear based on the semi-religious rules.

The report believes that, the consequences of these developments are bitter, because the Middle East was similar to the mosaic panel and was known with its plural cultures, racisms, and religious customs, but the ongoing developments have caused the dividing lines clear, which is not based on the geography of the region but is based on the humanity itself, leading to fight each other, the harmony between Muslims and Coptic people has vanished, and we can see the executions taking place, destruction of religious shrines, displacing of Christians and Yezidis from their homes in Iraq and Syria by force, thousands have fled to Europe and US. We are passing through the darkest and saddest era of the history of the modern Middle East, where the Sunni, Shia, Christians, Yezidis and many other components lived with peace throughout the years, in spite of the wars, clashes and migration. The Arab spring was not accepted by the totalitarian regime in Russia and China, while Iran followed since the beginning a policy to support the chosen group and supported the uprisings that serve its ideologies and interests in the region. On the other hand, the west has returned to re-establish the stability in the region, instead of supporting democracy, and political pluralism, forced by the threat from the terrorist organisations like ISIL.

The magazine Foreign Policy under the title, the supporting pretext not to act in the Middle East, the writer Stephen Walt, saying that, I would like to mention that, Middle East is moving towards worst situation nowadays. Whenever the United States intervenes in the region the matters aggravate. It is the time not to intervene; the war has broken out in Syria, Israel and Palestinians were pushed to war which shed the blood ( most of the victims were Palestinians), ISIL is expanding its territories in several parts of Iraq which subjects the life of thousands of Yezidis to danger and Obama is compelled to conduct air attacks and distribute humanitarian aids by means of air. At the same time, the officials in Baghdad are busy with shooting each other, Libya is going on through deterioration that contradicts the celebrations held by the Liberal hawks after the fall of Gaddafi. In Afghanistan American General was killed and the elections are threatened and perhaps Taliban will be given opportunity to achieve its objectives at the expense of Kabul.

Meanwhile, Eliot Cohen, one of the neo-conservatives expresses his sorrow on the US policies in the Middle East and blames Barak Obama, telling that, he failed to understand that, “the war is the war” and his reluctance to mobilize the people to wage more wars (he doesn’t care that, he helped US to enter the Iraqi war in 2003, which harmed US more than the war of Obama). The view point expressed by the former Ambassador Charles Freeman, who is studying of the decades of American intervention in the region and says that, it is hard to find that, any US plan in the Middle East could lead to nothing or almost, since the second world war the intervention was in conjunction with many allies in the region, perhaps these alliances were strategic need during the cold war period but the sad reality is that, now US has no partners sympathising with it.
