Baloch Human Rights Council (Uk) Condemns The Brutal Target Killing Of The Sister And Niece Of Brahamdag Bugti
Baloch Human Rights Council (UK) strongly condemns the vicious target killings of the sister and niece of Baloch Republican Party chief and respected Baloch nationalist leader Mir Brahamdag Bugti by the Pakistani military intelligence assassins on Tuesday in Karachi. The family driver of Dombki family was also killed in the attack.
Press Release
London, Dated: 02/02/12
The murdered ladies were the wife and daughter of Mir Bakhtyar Dombki, a sitting MPA of Balochistan Assembly and a respected member of Dombki tribe. Both Mir Dombki and his wife are grand-children of Nawab Akbar Bugti who was killed by Pakistani army in an army operation in 2006.
BHRC believes that this brutal killing of highly respected Baloch women and children is the continuation of the expressed policy of the Pakistani State to spread fear among the Baloch resistance against Pakistani rule on Balochistan and to frustrate the Baloch struggle for regaining their sovereignty. This immoral action on behalf of the Pakistani intelligence agencies is also indicative of the moral standings of the enemy which the Baloch are confronting.
Baloch Human Rights Council (UK) believes that harming the civilians in a conflict is against all recognised international norms and UN covenants. BHRC appeals to concerned international authorities to take notice of this gruesome act. BHRC believes no one is above international humanitarian laws and the Pakistani authorities should not be treated as sacred cows.
BHRC is sending letters to all national and international humanitarian organization and UN sponsored agencies and appealing them to take this issue as a deliberate act of human right violation of the Baloch and calling for appropriate actions be taken against Pakistani authorities accordingly.
