Gwadar: Following the announcement of BNP’s protest against the extra judicial arrests of its activists, the Member of provincial Assembly (MPA) of Balochistan National Party (BNP) leader Meer Hammal Kalmati held a press conference on Wednesday.
Assuring to raise the issues of the Balochs in the Provincial Assembly, Meer Hammal Kalmati condemned the arrests of its activists and claimed such activities as extra judicial actions.
“Lal Jan Baloch, our retired worker, has recently been abducted from his agriculture farm in Uthal and many of our other active workers have been abducted in the last few years. Previously, we used to get individual bullet riddled bodies and now the mass graves are the biggest example of extra judicial activities carried out in Balochistan”, said the MPA.
Meer Hammal Kamati declared that the present government of Balochistan assured to improve the law and order situation in the province but the past year has proved that it has completely failed. Today the mineral rich province has to tackle with innumerable issues commencing from social security to every basic right. The MPA also raised numerable issues related to Gwadar district including the land erosion, coastal hazards, health care issues, redundancy, electricity and water issue.
According to the Meer Hammal Kalmati, the initiated projects which were not completed during the previous government are not being funded and new projects are being announced. The amount of outlay spent for the welfare of the people is not equal to the revenue being generated by exploiting the minerals of the rich province and the mega project of Gwadar Port.
Regardless of social and law and order issues of Province, the Chief Minister of Balochistan, Dr. Abdul Malik Baloch confirms that All is Well in Balochistan.
